Oil and Wine

Oil

Our olive grove is nestled in the Tuscan hills, just outside Arezzo, and completes a property of 14 hectares that surrounds and enriches the "Casa di Sasso" holiday residence.

Our oil is a pure extra virgin olive oil, cold extracted with mechanical procedures and obtained from the pressing of 100% Italian olives, entirely grown in the Bartolini Farm. The intense flavor of our extra virgin olive oil comes from a harmonious combination of 3 varieties of olives: Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio.

In order for our oil to be genuine to the end, we entrust the phytosanitary defense of plants exclusively to natural methods, without the help of chemicals and pesticides.

The olives are harvested by hand and cold pressed within a few hours, only in this way we are sure to obtain an oil with low acidity and rich in fruitiness from the pressing. The oil produced is kept under nitrogen until bottling, so as to avoid any oxidation. Its intense and balanced flavor is particularly enhanced when used to season cold dishes or for tasty bruschetta.

Wine

"Il Giaggiolo" is a Toscana IGT that is part of a project by the Bartolini Farm. The vineyard extends over the beautiful Tuscan hills that overlook, from an enviable panoramic and sunny position, the nearby city of Arezzo and completes a 14-hectare property that flanks and enriches the “Casa di Sasso” holiday residence.

"Il Giaggiolo" is a wine produced with Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes. The color is bright ruby red with cherry reflections. The nose has a fresh bouquet with hints of berries and cherries and floral notes of violet.

On the palate it has a soft, persistent and fairly prolonged taste and is supported by the right acidity with a good balance. Perfect for the whole meal, it goes well with traditional Tuscan soups, cold cuts and cooked white meats, or raw red meats or not for prolonged cooking.
